Health for all means every child has a chance to play.
Meet Sira, Mansare, and Zackaria.
SIRA
Sira developed bowed legs when she was 4 because of malnutrition. Her parents waited and watched, hoping her legs would correct themselves.
She couldn’t run. Couldn’t play. Couldn’t kick a ball with the other kids. After receiving a successful orthopedic surgery onboard the Africa Mercy, she is now dreaming of what's possible.
MANSARE
Mansare has lived with bowed legs since he was little. He dreamed of playing soccer freely with his brother, but every step was a challenge.
This little boy received free orthopedic surgery and persevered through rehabilitation. Today, he can run and play soccer with his brother.
ZACKARIA
Zackaria struggled with blindness and his world was limited. Simple joys like playing with friends felt out of reach.
Zackaria received eye surgery through Mercy Ships. Today, he can see the field for the first time, he even hopes to become a professional soccer player one day.
