Au cours des 12 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, Darryl Anderson a occup\u00e9 les fonctions de directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, de membre du conseil d'administration et de membre du conseil consultatif national au sein de Mercy Ships Canada. Bien que ces r\u00f4les aient \u00e9t\u00e9 diff\u00e9rents, tous visaient \u00e0 faire avancer la m\u00eame mission.<\/p>\n

En 2025, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 convenu d'un commun accord que, dans le cadre d'un plan de succession, la recherche de son successeur serait lanc\u00e9e en 2026. Le conseil d'administration franchit aujourd'hui une nouvelle \u00e9tape dans ce processus de succession pr\u00e9vu de longue date. C'est une \u00e9tape importante pour Mercy Ships Canada, qui refl\u00e8te la solidit\u00e9, la stabilit\u00e9 et les progr\u00e8s d\u00e9j\u00e0 observ\u00e9s au sein de l'organisation.<\/p>\n\t

“Every season of growth includes a season of change, and ours is here. The Board is now recruiting Mercy Ships Canada’s next Executive Director, a direction that was set in 2025. As they undertake this important responsibility, I would be grateful if you would remember the Board as they seek wisdom and discernment.<\/p>\n

What remains constant through a transition like this is the calling that brought us together: to serve with compassion, humility, and grace. I have every confidence in our staff team. Their capability, experience, character, and unwavering commitment will provide the leadership and stability needed to move the mission forward with confidence and impact.”<\/p>\n

The Board has retained Claude Martel of Morgan Philips, to lead the search for our next Executive Director. Claude’s task is to identify a leader who can embrace our shared mission and guide Mercy Ships Canada into its next chapter, building on the foundation that is already in place, including the important work each of you contributes to each day.<\/p>\n\t

“In the days ahead, I ask that we meet this moment as we have met previous seasons of change: together, with clear eyes and steady hands, in service to one another, to our volunteers, and to the donors who make our work possible.<\/p>\n

My prayer remains the prayer of the Psalmist: Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands<\/em>. May what we build in this season be marked by grace, hold together, and endure.”<\/p>\n
