The Africa Mercy is 152 meters in length and weighs 16,572 GRT. After seven years in UK shipyards being renovated from a rail ferry into a hospital ship, she began her career as a Mercy Ship in 2007 in Liberia, West Africa. With five operating theatres and an 82-bed ward, the Africa Mercy is the world’s largest charity hospital ship.
