Marilyn Collette brings her passion for travel and supporting social good to her role as Chair of the Human Resources Committee and the Nominations Committee on the Mercy Ships Canada Board. Having worked for 26 years in international development with the Asian Development Bank and CIDA, she is delighted to bring her background and knowledge of the development world to Mercy Ships. Previous to joining the board in 2009, she was Vice-President of the Swiss Advisory Council for Bridges to Justice and Director of International Programs for the National Judicial Institute of Canada. She has lived and worked for 18 years in Malaysia, Cameroon, China, the Philippines and Switzerland. She has a M.S.W. in Social Policy and Evaluation from Carleton University and the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. Ms. Collette, through her role as CEO of SEChange International, currently provides assistance to ‘disruptive technologies’, social enterprises and NGOs to build their capacities, successfully source funding, broker partnerships and reach scale to catalyze their innovations. She feels privileged to be part of a hard-working and dedicated Board of highly qualified professionals.
